- How exactly do I earn an income from this credit card opportunity?
You can earn an income by spending on your card and building a network of people who spend on their eCosway Credit Cards and buy other products through the eCosway system. You will need to become an eCosway Business Owner to apply for the eCC. (You can do that by visiting the eCosway website or by getting your sponsor to help you sign up. Your sponsor is the eCosway Business Owner who introduced you to eCosway.) Back to top - Can people apply for the eCC even if they are not eCosway Business Owners?
Yes and No. Each application must have an eCosway Business Owner ID on it, and a Business Owner ID can only be attached to one eCC account, but the card applicant and the Business Owner whose ID is on the application do not necessarily have to be the same person. For example, a wife might be the Business Owner, while the husband is the card applicant, or a niece can be the Business Owner while an aunt is the card applicant etc. Back to top - Can foreigners apply for the eCC?
The eCC is primarily intended for Malaysians, but Alliance Bank will consider applications from Singaporeans and foreigners who are living and working in Malaysia. Back to top - Can Malaysians working in Singapore apply for the eCC?
Yes, they can. Alliance Bank will consider the merits of each application and offer the eCC to applicants at its sole discretion. Back to top - What will my credit limit be?
If you are given a regular credit card, the spending limit will be determined by Alliance Bank at its sole discretion. Back to top - What is the spending limit for my supplementary cardholders?
Each eCC account (comprised of a principal and all supplementary cardholders) has a combined credit limit which is given to the principal cardholder. Supplementary cards are allowed to charge up to the amount determined by the principal cardholder (either full credit amount or assigned amount). Back to top - How many supplementary cardholders can I have?
As a principal cardholder, you can have an unlimited number of supplementary cardholders as long as they consist of your immediate family members. Only immediate family members (aged 18 years and above) are eligible to apply to become supplementary cardholders. Back to top - What are Card Value Points (CVPs)?
Card Value Points are points awarded to eCosway Credit Cardholders each time they shop using the card. 1 CVP is awarded for every RM100 charged to the card at non-partner merchant establishments and 2 CVPs are given for every RM100 charged with Partner Merchants. These Value Points can be used to get deep discounts on a fantastic range of popular items (online and offline) and to bid in a luxury auction. Back to top - Is every applicant guaranteed to get an eCC?
No. Alliance Bank will do everything in its capacity to issue an eCC to every eligible applicant, but there are no guarantees because there are many banking laws and regulations that must be adhered to. Alliance Bank will consider the merits of each application and offer the eCC to applicants at its sole discretion. Back to top - How do I find out about the status of my application? Or the reason(s) my application was rejected?
Approvals are on a case-to-case basis. For reasons of confidentiality, eCosway is unable to access or reveal your application details. You can contact Alliance Bank's 24-hour customer service hotline at 603-5516 9988 or by email at cscps@alliancebg.com.my for details on your application. It is advisable that you contact the bank personally as each application is private and confidential and only the bank will be able to provide a detailed explanation of your particular case. Cards are now couriered automatically to all applicants within 10 working days of approval. No letters will be sent unless the application is rejected. Back to top - What if a person joins eCosway just to get a credit card and isn't happy with what Alliance Bank offers?
A person should not join eCosway just to get a credit card. A person should join eCosway because he or she is interested in building an eCosway business. The credit card is just ONE of the ways to chalk up eV and regardless of whether the Business Owner personally uses the eCC, he or she will benefit from the card usage of all of the cardholders in his or her downline. Back to top - What happens if more than one cardholder uses the same eCosway ID?
Each eCosway ID can only be used for one eCC. If an eCosway ID is found used on more than one eCC, the first approved eCC shall prevail while the subsequently approved eCC holders will be notified that the eCosway ID has already been used in a prior approved eCC and they will be asked to supply an unused ID. In such a case, any eV & CVPs accumulated on the subsequently approved eCC account prior to an eCosway ID change will be forfeited. A RM50 charge will be levied for a change of card. Back to top - How can I change the eCosway ID on an account?
Any request for a change of the eCosway ID on the eCC should be communicated directly to Alliance Bank. A fee of RM50 per card shall be charged by Alliance Bank for making the change. Any eV and CVPs accumulated on the eCC account prior to an eCosway ID change will be forfeited. Back to top - How does the five-year fee waiver work if supplementary cards are issued later?
The annual fees shall be waived for all cards for the first 5 years (starting from the principal cardholder’s eCC approval date). If a supplementary card is issued a year after the principal card, this supplementary card will enjoy only the remaining 4 year annual fee waiver. Back to top - How will the eV and CVPs be given to me?
The billing cycle of all eCC accounts is fixed on the 10th of each month. Each eCC statement will show transactions posted by Alliance Bank between the 11th of Month 1 to the 10th of Month 2. The eV and CVPs earned on those transactions will be shown on the eCC statement, but the cumulative eV and CVPs will only be shown on the Income Statement in your eCosway Online Office. eV and CVPs earned during the eCC per billing cycle will be posted to the eCosway Transaction Log by the 15th of every month. Back to top - What happens if an eCC holder resigns from eCosway or lets the Business Ownership lapse?
eCC holders whose eCosway account expires will be able to keep their eCCs and will continue to enjoy the CVP privilege (as eCosway Shoppers), but the eV earned on such accounts will be passed to the next qualified upline Business Owner. Back to top - What type of fees will I need to pay for the card from the 6th year onwards?
After the first 5 years, the eCC Renewal Fees for GOLD cards will be as follows:
Principal Per supplementary Card Single Card RM148 RM30 Dual Card RM188 RM50
Back to top - Are CVPs different from the normal VPs earned in eCosway?
Yes, there are some differences:
- Unlike normal VPs (which are awarded to both the spender and the upline), CVPs are only awarded to the person doing the spending. No matching CVPs are earned by the upline.
- CVPs can only be used in the CVP Auction and VPs can only be used in the regular eCosway Amazing One Dollar Auction.
- Unlike normal VPs (which are awarded to both the spender and the upline), CVPs are only awarded to the person doing the spending. No matching CVPs are earned by the upline.
- How can I use my CVPs to get discounts online?
Both CVPs and VPs will show up in your online office. Whenever you make a purchase and choose the "Value Buy" option, the system will automatically deduct the point(s) from you. The system will deduct your VPs first, and then only deduct your CVPs if you do not have any or enough VPs for that value buy. Back to top - How can I use my CVPs to get discounts offline?
Just bring your eCC statement to any Cosway stockist and ask for the value point discount on the items of your choice. Back to top
