  1. How do I apply for the Vehicle Protection Policy under eCosway?

    • Visit your eCosway website at www.ecosway.com/home/YourBusinessOwnerID. Then click on 'Vehicle Protection' within the Exclusively Malaysia Mall for the link to PGI's website. OR

    • Visit www.panglobal.com.my. OR

    • Call PGI's 24-hour Hotline at 1-800-88-1111.

    IMPORTANT - Please ensure that you quote your correct Business Owner ID when purchasing your policies. If you introduce your friends or family members to buy the policy, be sure that they state your correct Business Owner ID. Back to top

  2. Where can I get brochures on the Vehicle Protection program?
    The brochures are available at all Cosway Sales Centres throughout Malaysia. Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Back to top

  3. What are the normal operating hours for 1-800-88-1111?
    The toll free line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are 5 lines operating during working hours (9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday) and 1 line operating after working hours. Back to top

  4. Are all types of vehicles accepted for the Vehicle Protection Program?
    PGI accepts all types of passenger vehicles for the program EXCEPT:

    • Those with sum insured of more than RM 400,000.
    • The following vehicle makes and models:
      • Toyota Altis
      • Toyota Unser
      • Mitsubishi Air Trek
      • Toyota Camry
      • Mitsubishi Storm L200
      • Toyota Land Cruiser Prado

    However, PGI will accept the policy purchase for any of the above 7 vehicle makes and models on the following conditions:

    • Policy purchase is accompanied with a comprehensive policy purchase for a second vehicle which is not any of the above 7 vehicle makes and models, or with sum insured of more than RM 400,000.

    • The second vehicle should preferably have an insurance expiry date of less than 2 months at the date of policy purchase.

    • Both policy purchases must be made together and PGI will process the policies and road tax (if required) for both vehicles at the same time. Back to top

  5. Are company vehicles accepted?
    No, this program only covers private-owned vehicles that are insured under comprehensive plans. This means that taxis, buses and other vehicles used for commercial purposes are not accepted for this program. Company vehicles are also not accepted (including those provided for private use but registered under a company).

    If you want to purchase protection for these vehicles and do not mind NOT getting eV for the purchase, you can go to any branch office to make an over-the-counter purchase.

  6. Can I renew my road tax through PGI?
    Yes. You are eligible for PGI's road tax renewal services when you purchase a PGI vehicle protection policy but only when you arrange for your registration card to be collected at any one of the following locations:

    • Setapak
    • Gombak
    • Batu Caves
    • Selayang
    • Ulu Kelang
    • Sungai Buloh
    • Shah Alam
    • Petaling Jaya
    • Seri Kembangan
    • Ampang
    • Cheras
    • Bandar Tun Razak
    • Subang

    PGI will extend its road tax renewal services nationwide soon. Please refer to the PGI info page on this site from time to time. Back to top

  7. My road tax is due tomorrow. Can I still renew my road tax?
    No. PGI will only provide you with road tax renewal servicesif you request it at least 7 days before the road tax expiry date. For example, if your road tax expires on April 27, 2004, PGI will handle the road tax renewal for you if you inform them by April 20, 2004. If you inform PGI after April 20, 2004, PGI will not be able to do the road tax renewal for you. Back to top

  8. How can I pay for the policy and road tax renewal services?
    Only payment via credit card is accepted. Interest-free installment payments are also available from participating banks i.e. Alliance Bank, Citibank, Southern Bank and RHB Bank. Back to top

  9. How will the toll free line operator be able to identify whether I am an eCosway Business Owner or not?
    You are required to quote your eCosway Business Owner ID when you call the toll-free line. Please ensure that you give the correct eCosway ID. Back to top

    Summary of Procedures:

    1. VIA THE INTERNET

      If you visit www.ecosway.com/home/YourBusinessOwnerID and click on the link to www.panglobal.com.my, OR if you visit www.panglobal.com.my

      You will see the main page of PGI's site. Click on "Products" at the top of the page.
      You will then come to this page PGI's products page. Click on “CRUISE” .




      At the bottom of the “CRUISE Auto Insurance” page, click "Get a Quote" or “Buy Now” .




      If you choose “Get a Quote”, y ou will need to type-in some required information to get a quick quote. Once you have finished, click “Buy Now”.




      •  Please select your preferred purchasing process and click on “Buy Policy”.




      Please sign in if you are an existing member and register if you are new to PGI site.



      Under "Promotions/Gift Details", please select eCosway.com Sdn Bhd from the pull down menu. Your Business Owner ID will be indicated here by default
      (if you access ed the site by first going to via www.ecosway.com/home/YourBusinessOwnerID ). You may change the ID if you want here . If you directly visited enter this site via www.panglobal.com.my , you will need to type-in your Business Owner ID.




      Click on "Payment" and then select your preferred payment method, i.e. either " EZi Payment" or "Full Payment".



      - If you select "Full Payment", you will need to type-in these your credit card details:
      - Please click "Confirm" after that, and print out the reference number for
      your record.




      - If you select E-Zi Payment, you will need to type-in these your credit card details:
      - Please click "Confirm" after that, and print out the reference number for your record.



      • A PGI representative will call you to make further arrangements.


    2. VIA PHONE

      If you call Toll Free Line 1-800-88-1111, you will be given 6 choices:

      • Press 1 for Sales

      • Press 2 for Promotions

      • Press 3 for Renewals

      • Press 4 for Auto Assist

      • Press 5 for Claims

      • Press 6 for Other Inquiries

      • Please press either 1 (Sales) or 2 (Promotions).

      • Please state that you are an eCosway Business Owner. The toll-free line operator will ask you for your eCosway ID. Please ensure that you give the correct ID.

      • The operator will quote you a premium after asking you for some required information.

      • You can then proceed with payment method and collection arrangements.

  11. If I make a policy purchase online or through the phone, a PGI representative is supposed to call me to make further arrangements. How long do I have to wait for that call?
    If you make a policy purchase online or through the phone during working days (Monday to Friday), PGI will contact you within 24 hours. If your purchase was made on Friday (after working hours), Saturday or Sunday, or during public holidays, PGI will call you the next working day. Back to top

  12. Can I cancel my policy?
    Yes, you can. A refund will be made according to how long your insurance has been enforced. The percentage of refund is tariff rated, and this tariff rate is the same for all insurance companies. Back to top

  13. Can I introduce this insurance policy to friends and family members and get them to quote my Business Owner ID when making the policy purchase?
    Yes, you can. Please ensure that they provide your correct ID when they make their purchase. If they purchase the policy, they will be given an acknowledgement form which will indicate the ID given during the purchase. You can remind them to check that the ID stated on the acknowledgment form is correct before they sign and submit the form. Back to top

  14. I have given my Business Owner ID to a few friends who intend to purchase the policy. How can I make sure that the eV from their purchases goes to me? What if another Business Owner has also given his / her ID to my friends?
    The eV will be awarded to the Business Owner whose ID is given during the purchase of the Vehicle Protection Policy so your friend will need to decide which ID to use. If your friend decides to use yours and gives your ID during the purchase, the eV from that purchase will go to you. Your friend who purchases the policy i.e. the policyholder, will be given an acknowledgement form that indicates which Business Owner ID was given. The policyholder can check to make sure it is correct before signing and submitting the form. eCosway will not entertain any dispute regarding an incorrect ID and no change of ID is allowed.   15. What if my friend who purchased the policy decides to become a Business Owner himself / herself? Will the eV be transferred from my account to his / her account?
    No. The eV will remain in your account as the eV is awarded to the Business Owner whose ID is given during the purchase of that policy. Your friend who is a new Business Owner will earn eV on his/her future purchases and introductions. Back to top

  16. Can a Business Owner go directly to PGI branch offices to purchase the policy?
    It is not advisable for Business Owners to make policy purchases at the branch offices as this will be considered an over-the-counter purchase and a cover note will be issued for that purchase. When such a purchase is made, PGI will not be able to place this purchase under eCosway and hence no eV can be given for it.

    However, if you make a purchase online or via phone, a PGI representative will ask you for some documents and if you do not have a fax machine, you might be advised to submit those documents to your nearest branch office. This does not constitute an over-the-counter purchase and eV will be rewarded for your purchase in this case. Back to top

  17. Can I obtain my policy immediately upon purchase?
    No. You will be issued the policy on the next working day or after PGI verifies your details if you are opting for the easy payment scheme. For example, if you purchased your policy on Saturday, your policy will be issued on Monday if it's not a public holiday.

    Policy purchases can take up to 2 working days to process or even longer if PGI is not able to contact you to reconfirm your personal details or details of your previous insurance company. After the policy is issued, it will be posted to you and this would take time. With this in mind, we would advise you to not wait until your car insurance expiry date to make your purchase. Questions on eV

  1. When will the eV be credited to the Business Owner's account?
    eV generated from transactions in the previous month will be posted on the Business Owner's "eCosway Rewards Transaction Statement" (see sample below) in his / her Online Office by the 15th of the following month. eV earned from the program can be viewed in two ways:
    • ONLINE - Details of and eV generated from each transaction during the previous month will be posted on the "eCosway Rewards Transaction Statement" (see sample below) in the Business Owner's Online Office by the 15th of the following month.
    • OFFLINE - eCosway also sends Business Owners a printed "eCosway Rewards Transactions Summary" (see sample below) that is sent together with the Monthly Income Statement. This summary will show only the cumulative eV for the transaction month.

    Note: eV from Rewards Transactions will be put into profit calculation for the month the eV is posted to our system (which is not necessarily the month it was earned in).

    In the sample statement and summary below, 40.8 eV was generated from transactions made in the month of November and will be put into profit calculation for December.

  2. Do Business Owners earn Card Value Points (CVPs) from this program?
    Not from the Insurance program itself, but they can earn 1 CVP per RM 100 charged if they use an eCosway Ambank Credit Card to pay for the policies. Back to top
  3. How does a Business Owner find out about his / her CVPs earned from the program?
    Any CVPs earned during the previous month will be posted in the Business Owner's "My Value Points / eAccount" section (see below) of his / her eCosway Online Office by the 15th of every month. The figure shown is the total accumulated CVPs from policy payments using an eCosway
    Ambank Credit Card, and from other CVP-generating programs. The CVPs for individual transactions will not be shown.

  4. If a Business Owner's eV Reserve option is 'ON', what happens to the eV earned from the insurance transactions?
    The system will apply ALL eV earned from insurance referrals. No eV will be kept in reserve even if your eV Reserve option is 'ON'. Back to top
  5. If I choose to pay via installment payments, will the eV earned be apportioned according to the number of installments that I choose?
    No, the full eV generated from the Vehicle Protection policy will be given to you immediately. The eV based on the 0.7% rate that you get for payments using the eCosway Ambank credit card, will be paid out according to the installment amount you pay every month. Back to top
