  1. What are Cosway Rate Plans?
    The Cosway Rate Plans (CRPs) are specially designed packages from U Mobile that are only available to existing and new eCosway Business Owners and VIP Shoppers.
    (This program is also applicable to Cosway Members.)

  2. Aside from the monthly commitment fees, are there any other charges?
    Yes, 5% government tax and if applicable, charges for Value Added Services taken up by the subscriber that are not included in the CRP.

  3. What is the minimum commitment period for the CRP packages?
    The minimum period varies according to the package that you opt for:
    • CRP 1 : 18 months
    • CRP 1 : 24 months
    • CRP 1 : 36 months
  4. Where can I submit the registration form?
    • For Package 1: Submit the form to any U Mobile Service Centre
    • For Packages 2 & 3: Submit the form to selected Mobile City Centre or selected Cosway Sales Centres during the road show .
  5. Can I submit the registration form for the subscribers that I introduce?
    You can only submit forms on behalf of subscribers who opt for CRP 1 and forms can be submitted at U Mobile Service Centres. Please ensure that the registration form is complete and attached with the necessary documents. Subscribers of other plans must personally submit their own forms.
  6. How long do I have to wait before I am given a Dealer Code?
    U Mobile will give your Dealer Code when you submit a completed Dealer Code application form together with the other forms and subscribe to U Mobile. You will receive a notification email and SMS on your Dealer Code activation within 2 days.
  7. If I chose CRP 2 or 3, where can I collect the 3G mobile phone after I've submitted my form?
    You will get your free 3G mobile phone immediately upon registration. Please note that you can register for CRPs 2 & 3 only at selected Mobile City outlets or selected Cosway Sales Centres during the roadshow.   8. Is the money incentive paid by eCosway or U Mobile? How long will it take to get my payments and how will they be paid?
    Payment for the incentive will be paid by eCosway on the 2nd and 4th months after your introduced subscribers' lines are activated.
    • Business Owners will receive their incentives together with their monthly profit payments.
    • VIP Shoppers will receive their incentives by cheque which will be mailed to them.
    Here is an example of a money incentive payout schedule. Let's say you introduce a total of 15 people to subscribe for CRP 1 over a 2 month period - July & Aug.

    If 5 of your introduced subscribers activated their lines in the month of July, your 1st incentive payment for this batch will be in September and the 2nd payment will be in November.

    If 10 of your introduced subscribers activated their lines in August, you will get your 1st incentive payment for this batch in Oct and the 2nd payment in December. Since you also qualified for the Bonus Incentive, you will receive the payment for this in December also.

  9. How do I pay U Mobile bills for CRP 1?
    You can pay your bills through online banking, order debit (standing order to debit your account monthly) and by cash at U Mobile Service Centres at Sunway Pyramid and Berjaya Times Square shopping centres. U Mobile is now negotiating with about 30 dealer shops to serve as locations where U Mobile customers can pay their bills. Please call U Mobile's Customer Service at 6018-3881318 for updates.


  10. The first 3,000 subscribers are allowed to choose their phone numbers. Is this limited to the Klang Valley? What about other states like Malacca, Perak & etc.?
    If you are among the first 3,000, you will only get to choose the last 6 digits of your phone number as the first digit will be fixed according to the state you registered in. U Mobile will try to offer these 3,000 subscribers their requested numbers based on a first come, first served basis. In cases where it is unable to, U Mobile will propose numbers that are closest to the numbers chosen and subscribers can then choose from the given alternatives.

  11. If I am in East Malaysia, can I participate in this program?
    Not yet. We plan to extend this program to East Malaysia next year. We will update you once we are ready for this extension.

  12. If I don't have a credit card, can I pay using other payment options CRPs 2 & 3?
    Yes, you can make  an  advance payment by cash for the whole contract period upon registration.
    • For CRP 2: You have to make an  advance payment of RM 75 x 24 months = RM 1800
    • For CRP 3: You have to make an  advance payment of RM 75 x 36 months = RM 2700
  13. Can I use payment or prepaid card to pay for CRPs 2 & 3?
    No, payment or prepaid cards CANNOT be used for CRPs 2 and 3. Only credit cards are accepted for these 2 plans

  14. What should I do if I want to trade-in a mobile phone?
    In order to trade-in your phone at the fixed trade-in value indicated in the plan, please ensure that:
    • The seal on the mobile phone box is not broken (If it is broken, the trade-in value is at the discretion of the mobile phone dealer)
    • The trade-in must be done within 7 days of your registration
  15. Can expatriates with a valid working permit register for CRP?
    All expatriates working in Malaysia with a valid working permit or those with Malaysian Permanent Resident (PR) status, are required to place a deposit of RM 1,000 for each package.  This is a standard requirement by all telecommunication companies
  16. What is the validity of the “on-net” FREE domestic SMS, MMS, voice calls and video calls offer?
    The “on-net” (018 to 018) FREE domestic SMS, MMS, voice calls and video calls offer is valid within the contract period and remains valid when you renew your contract.
  17. What if my billing address is different from the address on my Identity Card?
    You will need to provide a photocopy of either an electric, water or telephone bill to verify your billing address.
  18. Is there any monthly credit limit for the Cosway Rate Plans?
    Yes. The credit limit (maximum usage value) for all Cosway Rate Plans is RM300 per month. If you would like to increase your monthly credit limit, please apply for a credit limit increase at any U Mobile Service Centre.
  19. I heard that U Mobile will be launched in Klang Valley and then in other regions (such as East Malaysia) in stages. Does it mean that it will not work in East Malaysia until U Mobile is launched there?
    No. Your 018 number can be used or reached anywhere in Malaysia as long as you're in an area that is covered by either U Mobile or Celcom networks. This is because U Mobile has a "domestic roaming" agreement with Celcom.
  20. As a Business Owner, can I register supplementary lines for my family members if I registered multiple IDs?
    No, there are no supplementary lines available for the Cosway Rate Plans. However, a Business Owner who registered with multiple IDs may register up to 5 principal lines. Requests for more than 5 lines will be subject to U Mobile's approval. You will not get the incentive for the 1st line (as it would be considered as the introducer line) but you will get incentives for the four subsequent lines.
  21. How soon will the line be activated after I submit my registration?
    If you submit your registration form before 3pm, your U Mobile line will be activated on the same day. Otherwise, it will be activated on the next working day.
